ROH – Episode 90

The Righteous (Dutch & Vincent) defeated Sammy Diaz & Matt Raymond

Following the Sons of Texas’ victory over Shot Through The Heart, The Righteous arrived and ambushed Rhodes, teaming up to attack Guevara. Dutch then delivered a side slam to Rhodes, while Vincent held him in place as Dutch smashed a large cowbell into Rhodes’ face. The Righteous quickly exited the ring, leaving the champions incapacitated.

Later, The Righteous engaged in a battle with the tag team of Sammy Diaz and Matt Raymond. Vincent started things off against Raymond. Vincent toyed with him and then tagged in Dutch for a Side Effect and dual dropkicks. Diaz tagged in and didn’t fare any better, taking an Orange Sunshine and then a big double team similar to what took out Sammy Guevara earlier. Vincent pinned him and it was all over but the shouting.
Vincent grabbed a mic for a promo. He said that the Righteous are forcing their way into the tag title picture. He said they should have been champions a long time ago and Sammy and Dustin will not have those belts for long. Dutch agreed and mocked Rhodes with the cowbell he hit him with earlier. It was Rhodes’ childhood cow bell (which is a thing in Texas I presume). Dutch talked about Dusty Rhodes, saying that Dusty wanted him to be his son instead of Dustin. That’s why Dutch got the cow bell.
